15th International Congress On Combustion Engines Set For Paris, June 13-17

The 15th International Congress on Combustion Engines (CIMAC) will be held at the Palais des Congres in Paris, France, from June 13 to 17, 1983.

The first session of the CIMAC congress will be held the morning of June 13 and will feature an address by Mr. Balaceanu, director general of the French Petroleum Institute. The afternoon and subsequent sessions will be devoted to the presentation and discussion of papers relating to current developments in diesel and gas turbine engines.

The papers will be given by representatives of engine manufacturers and research centers from around the world.

The diesel engine papers will cover topics such as basic technology ; efficiency and components ; combustion; excess fuel use and high power; fuels; and environment.

Gas turbine papers will be concerned with recent developments; combustion and emissions; noise; nonconventional fuels; materials and corrosion; and combined cycles.

Trips have been arranged to turbine and diesel engine and component manufacturers, and to a naval yard as well as tours to Alsace, Chateaux de la Loire, Mont-Blanc, and Provence. The '83 CIMAC congress will conclude with a grand banquet to be held in the Orangerie of the Chateau de Versailles.
