Rivertronics Introduces New Swingmeter Model —Literature Available

Rivertronics, Inc. of Alton, 111., manufacturer and distributor of the RT-500 Swingmaster swingmeter system recently introduced an upgraded model, the RT-500 AC which is offered at the same price.

Norman Matsche, president and chief operating officer, states "Our customers are towboat operators working the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers. We have designed a product to handle the larger and longer tows now running on these rivers." Rivertronic literature describes the RT-500 AC as having a highly sensitive solid state circuitry capable of measuring continuously variable swing from 10 degrees per minute to 200 degrees per minute for full scale deflection of the meter — a 20 percent improvement over the older and very reliable RT-500 model.

The new model also features an adjustable sensitivity control on the meter for adjusting rate of swing in accordance with the size of tows. There is a balance control to compensate for aging of gyro circuits.
