Kvichak Marine Delivers Fourth Of Nine 32-Foot Fast Response Vessels

Kvichak Marine Industries, Inc., of Seattle, Wash., recently delivered the fourth of nine 32-foot Fast Response Vessels to Foss Environmental Services, a division of the Foss Maritime Company of Seattle.

These oil-spill response boats will be stationed in strategic areas around the state of Washington, ready to deliver oil boom equipment and personnel to the site of a spill.

Designed for offshore conditions and powered by twin 155-hp OMC Commercial outboard engines, the boat will carry more than 1,000 feet of boom at high speed for quick response anywhere in state waters.

The hull design, which incorporates a moderate dead rise and wide chine, keeps the vessel dry and stable in a variety of sea conditions.

Kvichak Marine's design team has developed a line of spill response vessels which are easily modified to suit specific customer requirements, including conventional bow, house/ deck arrangements, equipment and propulsion packages.

Kvichak Marine's product line includes salmon fishing vessels, power skiffs, utility boats and oilspill response vessels.
