The Cordage Group Appoints Hankins And Richardson

Appointments to newly created posts in its sales organization have been announced by The Cordage Group, Division of Columbian Rope Company, Auburn, N.Y. William L. Hankins has been appointed national market manager, hardware, and will coordinate service to major hardware accounts, including cooperatives and mass merchandising buyers. John E. Richardson Jr. has been named manager, Western Region, which consolidates the division's former Midwest and Pacific Districts.

Mr. Hankins has been associated with The Cordage Group since 1951 and was manager, Midwest District, for 16 years. His headquarters will remain in Chicago, 111.

Mr. Richardson's experience in the cordage field includes 24 years with The Cordage Group. For the past 14 years he has been manager of the Pacific District.

The Cordage Group, Division of Columbian Rope Company, the country's leading rope manufacturer, produces a full range of sizes in three-strand, plaited, and braided rope for the hardware, marine, fishing, pleasure boating, and general industrial and consumer markets.
