Moore-McCormack Promotes R.H. Jackson And A.K. Forester

Robert E. O'Brien, president of Moore- McCormack Lines, Incorporated, Two Broadway, New York, N.Y. 10004, has announced the appointment of Robert H. Jackson as director of marketing and Arthur K. Forester as general traffic manager.

In his new position, Mr. Jackson will be responsible for coordinating and developing the company's sales-marketing activities.

Mr. Jackson, who holds a B.A. degree from the Southwestern College in Memphis, Tenn., has held the position of manager, marketing planning, since 1973. Prior to joining Moore-McCormack in 1970 as district manager of the Lines' Chicago office, he had been associated with the Illinois Central Railroad and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines.

Mr. Forester in his new assignment will direct the traffic activities of the company's cargo liner services between U.S. Atlantic Coast ports and the East Coast of South America, the Republic of South Africa and East African ports.

Mr. Forester, a graduate of Syracuse University, joined Mooremack in 1965, following his discharge from the armed services as a commissioned officer of the U.S.M.C.

Since joining the company, he has been assigned to various phases of the Lines' cargo handling and traffic operations in Brazil and South Africa as well as in the United States East Coast offices.

Moore-McCormack Lines is the ocean shipping subsidiary of Moore McCormack Resources, Inc.
