Wager Announces New Diesel Exhaust Meter

—Literature Available The Wager Model 650 is a new, portable diesel exhaust meter for use in checking, to air quality standards, the emissions of dieselpowered work boats, fishing vessels, barges, dredges, and offshore drill rigs.

This meter measures the opacity of diesel emissions to within 1 percent accuracy, a precise reference for fine tuning combustion to acceptable emission standards.

The Wager meter, easy to carry about and use, consists of a portable exhaust monitor, cable connected to a portable control unit. The monitor easily clamps to diesel engine exhausts of any configuration, all diameters up to 6 inches. A light sensor in the monitor reads both the opacity and optical density of emissions, continuously relaying its readings to the control unit for large LCD display. A green LED emitter as the monitor's light source insures the 1 percent accuracy of readings, even in artificial light.

The portable control unit, no larger than a hand and weighing under 5 pounds is housed in a lightweight, strong aluminum case. A 25- foot connecting cable allows complete mobility in testing.

The Wager 650 Smoke Meter, which operates on battery power, features solid state components, mil spec throughout. It meets EPA, all ISO and SAE specifications, and comes with 1-year warranty.
