Bailey Technical Center Opens In Beijing, China

—Brochure Available Bailey Controls has announced the grand opening of its first Bailey Technical Center in Beijing, People's Republic of China.

The Center will be used for full service support, training and customer demonstrations for the Bailey Controls Network 90® microprocessor- based distributed control system and the entire comprehensive line of measurement and control products. The Bailey Network 90 system has been applied in various industries throughout China, including installations found in power generation, chemical processing, steelmaking and petroleum refining.

Bailey estimates that it has in excess of $30,000,000 worth of equipment currently committed for shipment to the People's Republic of China. In addition to making it easier to demonstrate the Network 90 system to potential Chinese customers, the Center will provide technical seminars, slide presentations, and training involving the most advanced control systems on the market today.

Heading the Beijing Center will be veteran Bailey employee Jim McFadden. He will be assisted by a Chinese employee of the Beijing Instruments Industry Corp. who speaks fluent English.

Bailey Controls is a division of Babcock & Wilcox, and a leading worldwide supplier of instrumentation, controls, and computer systems for power generation, process automation and energy management in the petrochemical, electric utility and process industries.
