CAT Offers 20-Page Guidebook For Diesel Engine Selection

A thoughtfully organized and easy to follow 20-page "Guidebook For Propulsion and Auxiliary Power Selection" has been published recently by Caterpillar Marine Systems of Caterpillar Tractor Co., Peoria, 111.

The guidebook contains complete information on all of Caterpillar Marine's engines, transmissions and g e n e r a t o r s . The guidebook includes a selection chart for the engines to assist the reader in the choice of engine for different applications.

P h o t o g r a p h s , specifications, drawings, and rating and fuel consumption charts are included for each of 11 CAT marine propulsion models. Similar charts are included for the transmissions and the marine generator sets.

There is also a chart of approved CAT auxiliary engine ratings as specified by eight of the world's leading classification societies.
