New Non-Asbestos High- Temperature Valve Packing Developed By John Crane — Literature Available

John Crane is offering new literature on its new generation of non-asbestos valve packing— Style 187IG—designed to withstand harsh conditions of temperatures to 1200°F and pressures to 2,500 psi. It is a competitivelypriced, high-quality product according to the manufacturer.

Under development since 1977, Rite-Pak1" Style 187IG is a wire-inserted, jacketed packing that remains soft and resilient even at high temperature limits. It has special, performance- proven glass fibers in the core, and Inconel wire inserted glass yarn braided in the outside jacket.

The new non-asbestos packing has been designed specifically as a superior packing for high temperature, high pressure applications in hydrocarbons, steam, water, air, oil and a wide range of chemicals.

"In laboratory tests and in-use field tests during the past two years, the new style packing provided outstanding sealing performance under the most adverse conditions, and without adding rings," according to George R.
