Si-Tex Introduces New Line Of Marine Radars —Literature Available

A new line of high-performance marine radars has been introduced by Si-Tex at Clearwater, Fla. Si-Tex Koden Model 3 has 3 kw of power, two pulse lengths, and generates clear sharp targets over x/4- to 24-m:le range. Model 9 has 6 kw of power, three pulse lengths, and seven range scales f r om 14 to 64 miles. The Model 11 boasts 10 kw of power with seven ranges f r om % to 80 miles.

Extended-range r a d a r s p r o v i de u s e f u l i n f o r m a t i o n on possible thunderheads for safe navigation.

Display unit of all models has large 7-inch-diameter cathode ray tube for bright clear display of buoys, land formations, and other boating traffic. Presentation can be magnified to an effective 12 inches with viewing hood included.

Models 9 and 11 feature interference rejection circuitry and visual range marker as standard e q u i p m e n t (optional on Model 3). With interference rejection switched on, interference caused by other radars operating nearby is said to be greatly reduced or eliminated.
