Chesterton Bulletin Describes New Coating For Marine Maintenance

Chesterton Clear Acrylic Lacquer, a tough, flexible, heavyduty clear coating formulated for marine maintenance services, has been developed by the A.W.

Chesterton Company Chemical Products Division.

The new product meets the performance r e q u i r e m e n t s of MIL-C-17504 as a coating compound, providing resistance to air, water, mild chemical fumes, oil grease and gasoline and marring, and assures great adhesion and flexibility. Consequently, it makes a durable corrosion-resistant protective coating that neither obscures the material surface nor the color code or printing on it.

Chesterton Clear Acrylic Lacquer guards against handling, oxidation, tarnishing and fungus, as well as corrosion. It effectively protects electrical c o n n e c t o r s , spark plugs and battery terminals against moisture. It is an instant touch-up protection against scratches and scrapes on painted metals. It makes wood and paper water-repellent.

The product is packaged in one-gallon (3.8 liters) cans, fivegallon pails (18.9 liters) and 30- and 55-gallon (113.5 and 208 liters) drums. For further information, write for Bulletin 74055 to Richard McDermott, A.W.
