Skagit Corporation Appoints Three

Skagit Corporation, P.O. Box 151, Sedro-Woolley, Wash. 98284, has made several organizational changes in its Marketing Department according to George B.

Klos, director of marketing. The changes include the promotions of James A. Carlsen to manager, long range planning and product development; Emery D. Panosh, who replaces Mr. Carlsen as general sales manager for offshore, marine and construction, and Jean-Pierre Barsot, who replaces Mr. Panosh as area sales manager- Europe.

"In his new assignment, Mr.

Carlsen will concentrate on longrange product planning and the adaptation and extension of our present offshore, marine, construction, and logging lines," Mr.

Klos said.

Mr. Carlsen is a graduate of Washington State University and has held various sales and management positions at Skagit Corporation.

His most recent responsibility was general sales manager for offshore, marine, and construction.

Mr. Panosh will move from Paris, France, to the Sedro-Woolley, Wash., area to assume his new position.

Mr. Panosh joined Skagit Corporation in 1972 as manager, marketing-construction hoists, and was responsible for dealer coordination of the standard construction hoist line and direct sales of this line in areas not covered by dealers. Mr. Panosh received his B.A. degree in marketing from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wis. in 1964.

Mr. Barsot has been working with Mr. Panosh in the Paris office since February 1975, and will assume responsibility for European sales. Mr. Barsot's background includes experience in the petroleum and offshore business areas, following French military service. Mr. Barsot obtained his B.S. degree in experimental science from Faculte de Droit et Science Economiques de Dijon, France in 1965. In addition to his native language of French, Mr. Barsot speaks English, German, and some Spanish.

Skagit Corporation, a subsidiary of The Bendix Corporation, is a manufacturer of heavy machinery for the offshore, marine, construction, and logging industries.
