General Steamship Corp. Announces Promotions

F.S. Goshert, vice president, Southern District for General Steamship Corporation, Ltd., in Los Angeles, Calif., has retired after completing 42 years of service with the company. Mr.

Goshert, a graduate of the University of Washington, is widely known in Pacific Coast shipping circles, having served as president of the Los Angeles Steamship Association and of the Foreign Trade Association of Southern California.

Succeeding Mr. Goshert is Robert D. Ryan, newly elected vice president, Southern District. Mr.

Ryan joined the company in 1939, and has most recently held the post «of Southern District manager in Los Angeles.

General Steamship also announced the following company promotions, all effective January 1, 1977: G.A. Fountain, assistant vice president and manager, Southern District; D.E. Walsworth, assistant vice president, operations, Southern District; John P. Shea, operations manager, Southern District; Leo Wellington, assistant vice president, operations, San Francisco Bay Area, and J.E.

McGraw, assistant vice president, Portland District.
