Petro-Marine Names Easley Project Manager

Don E. Easley has been named manager-project engineering for Petro-Marine Engineering, Inc., John W. Owensby, president, announced.

Mr. Easley was formerly a supervising engineer in the company's structural engineering department.

In his new capacity, he will be responsible for management of structural engineering projects and related engineering services.

Petro-Marine is one of the largest independent consulting engineering firms in the country serving the offshore petroleum and marine industries. It specializes in feasibility, design, and project management of offshore marine structural, process and pipeline projects.

It is headquartered at 1141 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, La., a suburb of New Orleans.

Mr. Easley is a graduate of M i s s i s s i p p i State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.

He is a registered professional engineer in Louisiana and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Prior to joining Petro-Marine he was associated with Texaco Inc., where he designed offshore drilling and production platforms, including both steel and concrete design. At Petro-Marine, he has been responsible for supervising the structural design of platforms and drilling rigs for offshore drilling and production operations.

His most recent responsibility involved supervision of the jacket design and engineering, procurement and construction management of two drilling rigs for a major North Sea platform.
