Winthrop A. Wyman Named Executive Vice President Gulf Marine Management

Winthrop A. Wyman has been appointed executive vice president of Gulf Marine Management Company and general managermarine transportation for Gulf Trading and Transportation Company.

He had been vice presidenttrading and transportation for AGRICO, Inc., in Tulsa, Okla.

Mr. Wyman started his career as a grain trader for the Cargill/ Tradax companies in Geneva, and became a Tradax managing director in Amsterdam in 1959. From 1964 through mid-1970, he was transportation vice president for Tradax in Geneva. And from 1970 to 1974, he was president of Triton Shipping, Inc.

A native of Minneapolis, Minn., Mr. Wyman received his B.S. degree in business from the University of Kansas in 1952, and his postgraduate degree in 1956 from the American Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix. He spent three years at sea as a regular Navy officer during the Korean Conflict.

In his new position, Mr. Wyman will be responsible for development of marine transportation contracts in petroleum and nonpetroleum areas, and marketing of Gulf's marine services both in and out of the United States.
